It’s All About Attitude

polyvore_2_ezrIt’s all about attitude this winter and there are some great pieces you can use to create a killer look.  If you’re like me I’m sick of all this doom and gloom about the global financial crisis.  The most important thing is to look good and have fun while your at it.  Therefore if your able to pick up some great pieces that can be used to create several different outfits then you on a winner. Some pieces you can add to your wardrobe this Autumn/Winter are:

This Autum/Winter the jacket is the main show with 3 looks: Bardot Bandstand Jacketthe boyfriend jacket, the blazer and the military jacket.

Collette Dinnigan and Lisa Ho have great military style jackets, which you can pick up at any of their stockists.

Bardot one of my favs have a cute Bandstand Jacket, Boyfriend Blazer and Parisian Wool Jacket all at a resonable price tag.

The aim here is to keep it simple because your jacket is the main event.

A neutral coloured tank or cami with a slight pattern or small image will set the scene.

Bardot Harper Skinny Jeans

Put on some killer pumps or cute flats to finish of the look.

This Autumn’s Fashion Trends

This Autumn, clothes are in many different colours, including lots of rich deep autumnal tones. With the staple for this season, black  just about every where.  The key trends for the cooler months are:

 Romantic Goth

Love It Buy ItBlack laced dresses or blouses, velvets, leather and satin all make up this dark romantic look.  Layered multi-lacechains complete with gothic black beads are certain to create a dramatic impact. Try wearing dark eye make-up with red lipstick, black nail polish.

ferre_dv_20090304123712Tailoring is all about structure with collars and shoulders making a big statement. Trousers are slim legged & cropped with skirts straight and knee length. Collars stand up and out with added volume and interesting shapes.  Tops of sleeves have added volume and interesting shapes . Silhouettes resemble shapes such as a bubble or fir tree.

Like It Buy It Now!A successor to the lumberjack trend that swept through last year. Plaid skirts and jackets can be sexy, swesohpia-heidi-klumet, rough or edgy. For a modern, classic style wear a pencil skirt with a shirt and jacket.  Colours should be traditional and subdued such as greys, blues, greens and browns to get more wear.

Like It Buy It Now! The new ‘Foho’ look is a modern take on the Bohemian look. This trend combines rich autumnal colours with black in paisley, ethnic or tartan prints. Short dresses are teamed with black or coloured opaque tights and flared trousers teamed with tunic tops.  You can complete the look with scarves, fringed accessories, charm/coin belts  and faux fur trims. Team your look with smudged smokey eyes and just out of bed hair.

Or compliment the FOHO style with a military-inspired piece.  Team over-the-knee fringed boots with skinny pants, foho prints, and a strict military jacket for a sexed-up bohemian look.
